All wheels will be delivered by courier usually within 3 to 4 working days from placing the order. Hope wheels are built to order by Hope and the time taken for them to build them will depend on their volume of orders.
Smaller items may be delivered by Royal Mail.
UK mainland delivery is free on all wheels, Scottish Highlands & Islands and Northern Ireland are charged extra.
Due to the unpredictability of long haul courier services we are currently not shipping to some destinations outside of Europe. Prices have started to decrease from the highs seen in the summer of 2020 (£350 to send a pair of wheels to USA) but there are still only a limited number of companies willing to take large items, such as wheels, at a reasonable price. We may consider shipping to some more destinations on an ad hoc basis so please enquire by email. This is only likely to be a viable proposition for more expensive wheels as the shipping costs are still high.
From 1st January 2021 orders for delivery to the EU will not be charged UK VAT but will be charged local tax on delivery. Please note that local tax and any related charges levied locally are the responsibility of the buyer and that delivery times are much longer than normal due to the new customs requirements.
Import Tariffs - EU customers will not be liable for import tariffs on any item we sell that is made in EU or UK (although you will be charged VAT and will probably be charged a processing fee by the couriers for handling the VAT payment). To qualify as "made in EU/UK" the value of the non-EU or UK-sourced parts used to assemble it make up no more than 45% of the price. Below are some of our products and their origin for tariff purposes:
Hope factory built wheels - UK origin
DT Swiss factory built wheels - To be confirmed, most are EU origin but we are waiting for confirmation that this applies to the full range.
Princeton CarbonWorks - Non EU
PRO - Non EU
Shimano - Non EU
Our hand built wheels:
Anything with Hope hubs and alloy rims will be UK origin
Anything with Venn carbon rims will be EU origin
Bitex hubs and DT Swiss 240 hubs are non EU so the status of the wheel will depend on the origin of the rim, please enquire if this affects you.
